Delivery bonds (i.e., immigration bonds) cannot be posted in-person directly at the Santa Ana City Jail. Instead, family members or associates can post an immigration bond at any of the 82 ICE ERO facilities around the country that accept immigration bonds. The closest facility to the Santa Ana City Jail that accepts immigration bonds is located at 300 N Los Angeles Street, Suite 7621, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Immigration bonds can be posted Monday-Friday (except holidays) at this facility from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Bonds can not be posted directly at the Santa Ana City Jail.
To post an immigration bond for someone detained at the Santa Ana City Jail you must have a money order, cashier’s check or certified check. If the bond amount exceeds $10,000 and over, you can only pay by single cashier’s check or a certified check. All payments should be made to the “US Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
If you do not want to post the bond in-person yourself, you can also have a licensed immigration bond agent post the bond for you. For a small fee, ranging from 2% – 10%, an agent can post the bond for you electronically, so that you do not have to travel to the ICE ERO facility. This process is typically faster and easier than posting a bond yourself.
Does the facility have public parking?
Yes. If you know someone who is detained at the Santa Ana City Jail in Santa Ana, California and you would like to visit them, there is public parking available across from the facility.

If I am bonding someone out of the Santa Ana City Jail, do I post the bond there or do I post the bond in another location?
All bonds posted for any alien detained may be posted at any Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) bond acceptance offices around the country between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 PM (except public holidays) local time. What is the easiest way to bond an alien/immigrant out of the Santa Ana City Jail?

Not every ICE detention facility allows you to post an immigration bond in California. If you would like to post an immigration bond it must be done at an ICE-ERO facility that accepts immigration bonds.
You can post an immigration bond through a licensed immigration bonding agent. That agent can post a bond for you electronically for any detention facility in California and around the US.
An immigration bond is a three-party contract among a detained individual (alien/immigrant), a third party (the surety/obligor) and the government. It guarantees the appearance of the released immigrant at all scheduled court appearances throughout the life of the case.
There are two types of immigration bonds, a Delivery Bond and a Voluntary Departure Bond. A Delivery Bond allows for the release of a detained immigrant so that they can be out of custody while the court hears their case and they try to obtain legal citizenship. The released immigrant must attend all their court appearances or risk permanent detention or deportation. A Voluntary Departure Bond allows a detained immigrant to be released so that they can leave the country (at their own expense) while their case is being determined.
